Understanding Web Community Etiquette

Understanding Web Community Etiquette

This edition of the Internet Insider deals with a topic that I have yet to read about in any ebook edition, online or off, but for that matter, needs addressing. But understanding proper web community etiquette for some people is beyond their scope of necessity. It can also be paramount in making or breaking their online presence. I really felt it necessary and the right time in which write about this, because some people still do not Get It!

Note:I apologize if you feel that this is not a crucial topic concerning Internet marketing or work from home. However, it is another important tidbit of information that some people really fail to understand!

The growing number of home business entrepreneurs with bad ethical relations and bad web community etiquette is oddly enough, becoming an appalling reality. I am talking mainly about morons who bad mouth others on community Forums and chat rooms with rudeness and weird behavior. This is just dumb, and in my opinion, borderlines on a possible personality disorder. This is also generally a very bad business practice, although most of these (people) just do not seem to understand this simple rule!

We are not talking about a rude caption in an ad in order to gain attention, because often times that can be at the very least funny, or amusing. What I am talking about here are blatant attempts at defaming other people’s products, programs, services or even personal attacks on character. If you are one of these people, then please screw off. There is no place for foul actions, and silly immature remarks that commonly disrupt the enjoyment or research of knowledge that other work from home Entrepreneurs wish to enjoy. Before posting something negative, think twice about it.

One of the first things that most people preparing to do business online must realize is this. If they want to work from home and establish themselves as a trustworthy and reliable online entity, they must conduct themselves in a professional manner. Defamation and rudeness can, and ultimately will, get you banned from a Forum with rules regarding bad behavior. I have seen it happen many times, but it can also take time to report these people, time that could be well spent elsewhere for instance, promoting my business or enjoying a leisure activity with my Family. So lets play nice and get along!
