Taking Time Off From Your home Business Routine

When I first started marketing and working from home on the computer, I had very little thought of what I was really in for. The fraise (taking time off) and away from the computer wasn’t in my vocabulary. My newfound job, or home-based business was a sort of addiction, especially as I started to make money. But as time progressed I found it necessary to take time away from the computer screen, and reflect on why I started my own home based business in the first place.

Working from home can be rife with distractions and other tempting activities, or even the radio or television. My greatest form of distraction was and still is, the love of the great outdoors. Weather it be rain sleet or snow, I will try my best to take some time off, and be outside to have at least a few joyful moments of fresh air and breathing space. This action also warrants personal time, and is an obvious solution for taking time off from the computer. It is a necessity that is a vital part of a growing business, and when working at home.

Working on a home pc for long, or extended periods of time is not a good idea, and can also cause health or joint problems to inactive bodies. Exercising periodically should become a ritual, and a habitual or even daily routine. A well taken care of body makes for a better functioning mind that will provide you with a more alert brain, and possibly more efficiency when working at home. Decide on a taking time off time schedule, that you can incorporate into your hours of online computer work, and stick to it. You will ultimately feel much better when you do this.

The type of exercise that you may want to perform need not be a complicated process or stressful in any manner. Simple neck and arm exercise such as head or shoulder circles that you may of done in high school to warm up for gym, are a good choice for getting started. You do not have to do “the 20 minute workout” or hire a personal trainer. I find that doing some light and basic weight lifting is a good way to get the blood flowing, and the muscles moving. You can even use books for this exercise if you are frugal. That is my preference, but most people have there own creative ways, or fun and inventive forms of exercise.

Other forms of taking time off from the grind may include something so simple as just getting out of the house to go for a walk. This form of exercise can be an extra benefit when you need to clear your head and avoid the home office all together. Walking makes perfect sense, and fresh air has never hurt anyone, unless of course you need to live in a bubble. But for most of us, healthy productivity is something that is worked on and needs to be looked after. This essentially includes keeping fit with some sort of exercise, taking care of your body, and even the computer screen red eyes.
